What if 7200rpm and 5400rpm on the same desktop?

I have a 7200rpm 250gb hdd that I want to install on my Desktop for Origin, Steam, etc. What I want to know is will I get a performance boost to the games even though my OS is installed on a 5400rpm hdd?
hard disk rpm speed

Here what happens if the system boot from 7200 rpm (250 gb) it will fast and processing also differs here when compared to 5400 rpm HDD.
No the the performance cannot be boosted if the games and os installed on 5400 rpm.
If you have installed the games and operating systems in 7200 rpm HDD if will give you the good performance at the time gaming.
There are 10000 rpm and 15000 rpm hard disk but so many around the world can't use those I dont what exact reason is? and so many of PC users around the world are using 7200 rpm HDD's

Is this a good laptop?

I'd like to play some games on it like minecraft, civilization 5 and sim city 2013 on medium settings, and web browsing and be an all around good laptop. If there are better ones for the same price then I'd like to know that too but not be too expensive. Also is this laptop worth the money?

You need to check with GPU's mainly, they plays a major role in Gaming Graphics. As the gpu which came with this product may not supported by the Games which you have decided to play.

If you wanna choose go to the gaming site and check for the pc requirements of the game or just google serach like "gpus supported by <name of the game>. If you wanna paly very hard or you are a hardcore gamer you should choose the good hardware and awesome environment for the good experience in gaming.

Lets say I have played many game but the matter is just playing not experienced good gaming or any thing behind that. because of my experience you need to choose a good hardware requirements and sound engines, extra devices like steering, joystick. If you can afford try for motion gaming. You will be in that role of player.

Is this all in one computer okay for gaming & regular use (watching movies, browsing the web, etc)?

So I'm not very good with computers. And I'm not big into gaming, so I really have no idea what to look for. I'm buying it for someone else, since my mom can get it for very cheap through her work.
Can anyone tell me if it's good or not?

CPU: Intel i7 3770 3.5GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR3
HDD: 320GB SATA
Video: Nvidia 1GB

Like I said, I'm not good with computers, so if I'm missing any info I apologize.

pc gaming computer extreme gaming
Intel i7 is excellent processor, as 3770 is a 3rd generation processor and I found there is lot of performance difference in the 1st generation and 2nd generation. You have choosen good processor as it is 3rd generation. Better go for Intel i7 3770k you can unlock the processor speed upto 3.9ghz. Better install a cooler master Thermal Solutions when you installed with 3770k.

You didn't mentioned motherboard, choose a motherboard that suitable to processor, best is Intel Z77 express chipset choose from the best makers like Gigabyte, Asus, MSI as per requirements. My opinion is go for Asus SABERTOOTH Z77, it is very good in performance, if you need more specs click here

You didn't mentioned whether the hard disk cheetah, baraccuda, SSD. Choose SSD's there will be a lot difference between normal hard disk and SSD's. Transfer rate will be more in SSD's than compared to normal harddisk.

Nvidia 1GB, Make sure which model you are going to install, if you mention the games which you play I can give the list of graphic cards supported by that games. Make list of games, then choose the better graphic card.

As you are installing 16 GB DDR3 of memory, you need install 64bit operating system.
