Better delete the thing from the quarantine because the virus in the file cannot be cleaned, so the antivirus programme will move the virus into quarantine.

Here you need to know some things where if that is a compressed file, some antivirus programmes like free versions cannot the clean the infected files in a computer so it moves the file to quarantine. if you wanna recover that files and want to delete only infected file, disable the antivirus system and then extract the files and enable the antivirus system, it will scan the the files infected file will be quarantined.

I have faced many problems like this because whenever the infection found in compressed file the antivirus deletes the total compressed file and leads loss of the other files. If you go through the premium versions of the antivirus programmes you will not face this problems but when you are going to extract the infected compressed files you need be careful (infection depends on virus) do at your own risk.

Hello, I have a hp 2000 notebook laptop and sometimes the laptop will stop working and the screen will turn black with white lines and now it has also started beeping, I have run Kaspersky to look for viruses, I restored the computer to a previous date, I have tried everything I know to do but it still does this, so if anyone knows what the problem is or how to fix it I would really appreciate the help. That might be the problem of the Hardware, it seems like the problem is related to RAM or the any other internal connection problem.

Is you do the software reset or restore and scanning the computer does it solves the problem and resinstalling the OS may fix the problem once check with the reinstallation.

After Reinstall if you are facing the same problem, you might need to contact the HP service centre and they will provide the solution for this. In my point of view the problem is related to the hardware, in most cases ram only.

If your laptop is out of warranty, you might take risk to change the RAM and check it, if you are through only do this otherwise contact the repair centre.

You have done scan with priority Fast Scan that does not scan the indepth of your system files, like it cannot scans the compressed files although the threats was detected but deep scan can recognize the threats.

What deep scan do is, it scan every compressed files and if any file have password or any authentication type it can not be scanned by the virus scanner and so you need to check with these kind of files.

If you are using a free of AVG it does not have all the features when compared to premium ones, you can compare in the AVG website.

If you have premium version of antivirus you need to update the virus definition and initiate a Deep Scan that does clears the issue and if not then you need to AVG or post your question in AVG Forums and they may provide any removal tools as you need to mention the threat name there.

I upgraded my internet from 3 Mbps to 6 Mbps  The speed has increased a little bit but not much. I just did the speed test and my download speed is 2.4 Mbps and the upload speed is 0.7 Mbps  This is only a slight improvement from when I was only paying for 3 Mbps  Shouldn't my download speed be around 6 Mbps now? I work on computer about an hour or so and every time I switch off my computer, I need to restart it before switching it off. I do not know why it happens? There is no virus in my system as I use Microsoft Essentials and it cleans my computer from any sort of malware or virus.

I've seen similar situations to this but the problem is: It has no viruses and the protection shield is on and it still says it stopped working besides the page that I go on still shows behind the box that says it. I've tried the whole Control Panel thing with the virus check and everything and the scan to see what's wrong with it (if it has a problem) and it says that it's completely fine yet it still shows up every time I try to go on the Internet. OK the restore let me get into the computer and it is working ok, but I am wondering if the virus is still there, I am running all of my virus scans and anti malware software. hope it will be fine. Well after the full scan I seem to be ok I am using the computer .so I hope everything will be ok

After system restore your system cannot be fully restored to the previous state as it shows restored successfully but some files cannot be restored like user created files or virus created files. After doing all this I faced several problems like getting the process done very slow and later it gone to previous state before the system restore point.

So I advise you to not to do system restore, better first install a good antivirus and scan the whole computer, then install a trojan remover and scan it and restore the windows policies...etc and restart the computer, if every thing is not fine you need to perform windows repair by inserting the boot disc.

You will find the options in the windows setup process so I would like this is the best restore process to the system files, where original files will be restored while installing.

If your system is infected dont do system restore and in most cases it fails and if done partially may be.

First install a Trojan remover and disconnect your PC from Internet then scan then whole computer. How to prevent spread the virus when copying files from usb drives (without any anti-virus soft-wares). I think using command prompt to copying the files from usb which prevent the virus attacks. Is it true? Or any other way you know?

You can copy required files from usb few mouse clicks and just hold ctrl+alt+shift and insert usb drive into usb and after no autoplay will run. Open my Computer and dont double click or right click on the usb drive, if you clicked the virus will spread and go to the address bar and click the dropdown menu, copy the required files from usb drive to destination.

And here once check whether you are going to copy the files that which are original files because some viruses hide the original files and creates duplicate on the same name called .exe, for example there is folder called new folder and virus here hides the new folder and a duplicate exe file is created with the same icon and when you double click it will executes and infects your PC, so here once check before copying goto properties of that folder or file after see that whether it is in desired format or not and then copy the required files.

You can copy from dos aswell and just you need to the few commands, but I am not sure that this process prevents the virus attacks

My computer has a virus because I called Microsoft and asked and they said it did, but I don't have the 200 dollars to pay to get it off. I have no security and the virus disabled any type of blocking I have on my computer. It even said the main windows blocking thing was off, but the virus is making it unable to turn the blocking on! If you don't have any important data, my suggestion is to format your system and fresh install of operating system and after install a good internet security where it scans all the drivers and cleans your computer.

If yo have any important data, go to safe mode and backup your data to other drive or pen drive and after that install a trojan remover and scan the whole computer and reset the windows policies, internet explorer policies, disconnect your system from internet.

AVG is also one of them and  provides free license for lifetime when I was using it a 4 years ago and problem with this is, If a infected file found in compressed file i.e. zip or rar file, this antivirus programme deletes all the data means the complete rar or compressed file will be deleted and so other important files in it will be lost.

That was the time I was searching for a good antivirus and I found Avast. 

Symantec Norton is awesome which I used a Trial version for 30 days. If wanna buy I would by the Norton Internet Security or Norton 360.

I want to open Mozilla Firefox (internet) then my computer stopped working so I press the off button and when I press it again to restart..advance start up option appear because I didn't shut down properly.But when I use the option it doesn't work and appear a stop error code: 0x0000007B(0xF88DB524,0xC0000034,0x00000… and stop error code:0x0000007B (0xF89A6524, 0xC0000034, 0x… can't use any of those option..What should I do?

There might be lot of infected files in you windows, Your pc is infected with virus and trojans...etc. Once check or remember that you might have downloaded any attachments from mails that may contain virus or trojans etc and that too you have downloaded that file from Mozilla Firefox.

I think you don't have any good antivirus, Firstly install Trojan Remover on you system as Mozilla doesn't opens and download the trojan remover using trojan remover and install it scan the whole computer but before that disconnect from internet. In my point of view the system restore can not help any desktop or laptop, just it restores the system files or system to the previous state.

If your system is infected with virus, trojans...etc then you are trying to restore the system to previous state, may the virus does not allow the system to restore to a previous state. Most the infected systems which I observed system restore does not work, it gives a message "system restoration fails" and after that it it restarts.

May the system restores works in safe mode, once try in safe mode. Better install any free antivirus and update it and scan whole computer. I prefer to install Avast free edition antivirus, they provide one year free license and install it update and scan the whole system.

May be your computer is at high risk, because when you install any antivirus or any other programme it is infected. This means that virus and its infections are very high in your computer. If you insert any USB drive or any external drive, virus might damage your data. Before doing all these if you have any important data take a backup of them.

After taking backup of data, format your OS drive or C drive, After doing the same you need to check with other drives. But I assure you that other drivers like D, E ...etc are also infected. So whenever I open a web browser (usually Google chrome) and go to any site, my anti virus software always detects 6 trojan virus. I have avast anti virus by the way, its the free one though. May be your PC is still infected with Virus or Trojans, You need to scan in depth of your system files. Avast free edition has limited features when compared to a Avast Internet Security. One more reason behind this is, in your pc some malware software may be installed once check in the control panel add/remove progrrames. Then check in browsers plugin or extensions there might be some unnecessary plugins installed. If you have found one uninstall it and restart browsers, reset to default settings.

Better install a Norton Internet Security Trial, remove the avast free edition. After Update the norton virus defintions. I have had it since September. Never had any problems with it, until today. The screen got slammed shut and now will not do anything. It gets stuck on the starting windows screen and goes black. I have tried F11 and it does nothing. I have tried rebooting it but it just goes black and 15 minutes later it goes to a grey screen and has the cursor, but won't do anything else! Which operating system you have installed? because there might be problem with the boot files, They may corrupted and unable to boot. Once check BIOS as well, check the boot devices list in that check first boot device should be set to hard disk, if not do it and press F10 and save the settings. Make sure that you have loaded operating system. One more reason behind this is your system is infected with viruses, get a good internet security software and scan the whole system.

If you are sure that you have loaded operating system, insert the operating system CD and boot from that cd. At the first screen you will find the options to repair the boot, try to repair it. If not done go to the next step where you will asked to check the license agreement press F8. After it will check for the OS if any previous versions are installed if not it will show you the list. Try to repair. If this screen is not shown, main problem with the file system. In some situations many os lost the File system, I have faced the problem so many times. For the past two weeks my connection has been terrible. It gets really bad at around 7 pm to 11 pm and sometimes is bad all day. Anybody have any ideas? Might be your PC is infected with Virus or check the data cable, change the cable if you are connecting your PC through a Modem or Switch or Router. You should check the following as well whether the LAN port of your PC is working fine or not. Try inserting the other LAN card on the motherboard and Install the Latest Drivers, connect to the Internet check the speed. If every thing is right, problem is with the on board LAN card. Your PC might be infected with viruses or Trojans...etc or any ongoing downloads are going in background. check the applications or If any one around installed a speed limiter software's like Netlimiter, check the add/remove programmes in control and uninstall them. If you are connecting through Router using WiFi, you need to check with router settings. Might be Router settings are reducing the speed of your Internet on Desktop.

I am using Trend Micro Titanium antivirus, and when I cleaned my hard disk using this antivirus, it found EXE virus and cleaned them, after cleaning the virus, all the folders are hidden in my removable hard disk. 

I can find the folders by entering their addresses like (J:/movies) but not by clicking on the drive. So, I don't know all the folder names to get them like that.

Trend Micro Titanium Antivirus is good security against antivirus, cleans and disinfects well. Some viruses are moved to virus chest or quarantine check them and delete them as well. Update your virus definitions and they provide some removal tools for some strong threats. These antivirus cannot delete or clean them, you need to download the removal tools, contact the support centre of Trend Micro.

EXE virus is one of the threats, spreads by just a click, It moves to external drives. You need to know whether that is a folder or an exe files, check by going to the properties of the folder you will come to know what exactly it is?

These types of viruses hides the original files and duplicate the folder on the same name with extension .EXE files. If you scan with a antivirus it removes or cleans them, but the original files are not saved by the antivirus. You are typing the folder name or path in address bar, then only you can access the files. Here Go to Tools-Folder Options-View tab-check the dot show the hidden folders, files and drivers and uncheck hide empty drives in the computer folder, hide extensions to know files types. So they are displayed here, select all by pressing Ctrl+A and go to properties and  In general tab uncheck the hidden, click apply OK. so here you need do for the all folders.

A short way to do is just open the drive and select all the items in it and uncheck hide option in General tab. After doing all these check the hide empty drives in the computer folder, hide extensions to know files types. That's it.....

I have this virus on my computer that occasionally redirects me to other sites, usually domainsa.com, but this virus only affects my Google Chrome browser. I've tried several different virus removal techniques and software (always trustworthy ones) but so far nothing has helped. Currently I just did a scan using PC Tools Spyware Doctor and it found several threats on my computer, but now I found out that while you can have your computer scanned for free, you have to have an actual account and pay to have them removed. No other program that I have used so far has actually found any threats, so I was wondering if there was some other way to delete the threats the program found than by paying for it.

Also, if anyone could possibly recommend any other ways to get rid of this annoying virus, that would be great. :)

First thing is uninstall the PC Tools Spyware doctor and restart your computer. After restarting go through the control panel - Add/Remove programmes, find the unnecessary programmes that installed on your system. Check them and uninstall them as soon as possible and also uninstall the Google chrome. If you have installed antivirus please uninstall that too. Restart your computer.

If you know that infected with virus or ad wares  malwares, I would like to suggest the free edition of avast antivirus or If you can afford buy Norton Internet Security Software's  It is an Excellent security software. But don't forget to remove the unnecessary programmes from the system. After Installing Antivirus perform a whole system scan of your computer.
