You can update Bios in Many ways, one thing is after updating bios, your may face some minute problems like getting strucked, slow performance..etc beacuse I faced these problems after updating my ASUS K8V-MX motherboard, well I did got some other problems like capacitors failure after I came to know that this problems came into existence because of failure of BIOS. But I am not sure about the problem caused beacause of updating BIOS.

http://www.gigabyte.in/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3894#bios in this link you might be choosing 32bit operating system, downloading the exe file but check which operating system selected by you and download the exe file and follow the on screen instructions. If same problem persists there might other ways to update BIOS.

It is recommended to install a good anitvirus security or Internet security to get rid of threats

How do I install drivers with no internet connection?

I bought a new motherboard recently, and I can't connect to the internet because it says it needs new drivers. The motherboard Did Not come with a CD with the drivers on it.

main board layout

Motherboard itself has drivers CD, as the manufacturer gives the drivers CD. If you didn't get, contact the vendor or go  to the service centre.

You can also download the drivers from the manufacturer's website, If you mention the model of the motherboard I can give you the link to download the drivers.

If you don't know the model, install the OS and go to Start Menu - Accessories - System Tools - System Information, a window will open check for system manufacturer and system model and just type both in Google search. Download the drivers from the official site only, If you download the drivers from other or unofficial sites they may contain viruses, trojan...etc. Before this install a Good Internet Security Programme.

Note down the model and manufacturer name of your motherboard and Walk in to a nearby cyber cafe, download all the drivers and copy them in to a USB drive. Install them on your PC. If you have Internet Connection, just download only WiFi or LAN drivers install them on your system and connect to the Internet, download other drivers from the manufacturers website.

Some don't forget to download the goodies or optional software's like they provide software's like ON/OFF Charge, this software helps in to super charge the IPhone.

My folders are hidden by EXE virus after cleaning them by antivirus.?

I am using Trend Micro Titanium antivirus, and when I cleaned my hard disk using this antivirus, it found EXE virus and cleaned them, after cleaning the virus, all the folders are hidden in my removable hard disk.

I can find the folders by entering their addresses like (J:/movies) but not by clicking on the drive. So, I don't know all the folder names to get them like that.

what is the solution?

show hidden files in computer

Trend Micro Titanium Antivirus is good security against antivirus, cleans and disinfects well. Some viruses are moved to virus chest or quarantine check them and delete them as well. Update your virus definitions and they provide some removal tools for some strong threats. These antivirus cannot delete or clean them, you need to download the removal tools, contact the support centre of Trend Micro.

hide folders in windows xp
EXE virus is one of the threats, spreads by just a click, It moves to external drives. You need to know whether that is a folder or an exe files, check by going to the properties of the folder you will come to know what exactly it is?

These types of viruses hides the original files and duplicate the folder on the same name with extension .EXE files. If you scan with a antivirus it removes or cleans them, but the original files are not saved by the antivirus. You are typing the folder name or path in address bar, then only you can access the files. Here Go to Tools-Folder Options-View tab-check the dot show the hidden folders, files and drivers and uncheck hide empty drives in the computer folder, hide extensions to know files types. So they are displayed here, select all by pressing Ctrl+A and go to properties and  In general tab uncheck the hidden, click apply OK. so here you need do for the all folders.

A short way to do is just open the drive and select all the items in it and uncheck hide option in General tab. After doing all these check the hide empty drives in the computer folder, hide extensions to know files types. That's it.....

Is this all in one computer okay for gaming & regular use (watching movies, browsing the web, etc)?

So I'm not very good with computers. And I'm not big into gaming, so I really have no idea what to look for. I'm buying it for someone else, since my mom can get it for very cheap through her work.
Can anyone tell me if it's good or not?

CPU: Intel i7 3770 3.5GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR3
HDD: 320GB SATA
Video: Nvidia 1GB

Like I said, I'm not good with computers, so if I'm missing any info I apologize.

pc gaming computer extreme gaming
Intel i7 is excellent processor, as 3770 is a 3rd generation processor and I found there is lot of performance difference in the 1st generation and 2nd generation. You have choosen good processor as it is 3rd generation. Better go for Intel i7 3770k you can unlock the processor speed upto 3.9ghz. Better install a cooler master Thermal Solutions when you installed with 3770k.

You didn't mentioned motherboard, choose a motherboard that suitable to processor, best is Intel Z77 express chipset choose from the best makers like Gigabyte, Asus, MSI as per requirements. My opinion is go for Asus SABERTOOTH Z77, it is very good in performance, if you need more specs click here

You didn't mentioned whether the hard disk cheetah, baraccuda, SSD. Choose SSD's there will be a lot difference between normal hard disk and SSD's. Transfer rate will be more in SSD's than compared to normal harddisk.

Nvidia 1GB, Make sure which model you are going to install, if you mention the games which you play I can give the list of graphic cards supported by that games. Make list of games, then choose the better graphic card.

As you are installing 16 GB DDR3 of memory, you need install 64bit operating system.

My laptop keeps re-rebooting everytime! Please help!?

I wanted to clean up the disk so I scheduled a boot-time scan from Avast Antivirus. Normally, my files stay secured after boot-time scanning, but for some reason, I lost some documents and completely wiped out by virus. It's fresh and all, but the problem is that hardware resets to its original position every time, When I restarting the laptop. While it was rebooting, I deleted all the viruses infected and wonder if this has to do anything with this issue.

How do stop my laptop from re-rebooting every single time! Please help me. This is really annoying.

windows restarting

Avast is a good antivirus programmes that detects threats if you have a Full version of software. Avast providing the free version of it's antivirus programme with 1 year license, but you need to know why. The free version of Avast has limited features. If you install it detects threats up to the signature's level. Better Buy the full version to enjoy all the features.

Already you have scheduled boot time scan, It scans boot files...if any threat found it cleans and restarts your computer. Better Install a full version of internet security and update the virus definitions, scan the whole computer. Before scanning the system, disconnect your PC from the Internet.

If the problem persists, you need to repair the windows using windows installation disc, may be the boot files are infected, again the PC is re-restarting because of the it restoring the files from Backup, after restoring PC can able to boot.

Internet Security or All in One security has many features like anti Malware, antivirus  anti root-kit  firewall, anti trojan....etc.

If your files are deleted unknowingly you can recover, there are many software's available on Internet, download them, they provide trial versions if you can afford buy the full version.

Am I safe from these Trojans?

I ran four different full scans with Malware bytes, Ad Aware, Avast, and Spy-bot. Ad Aware detected two Trojans and I immediately deleted them. Is my computer now safe from any potential threats or damage. I constantly run scans on my desktop and delete anything malicious that I come across. Am I in the clear?

infected with trojans
You are already scanned with security software's, don't worry your PC is safe. But beware about Root kits they are known to be start the infection again, some are not detected by scanning. Need to download some Root kit software's like AVG Root kit... etc. Scan the whole system with those software's  One more thing is Trojan Remover is also good Anti trojan software. I especially use this software when my PC is infected with Trojans. It is a good software to remove Trojans, Not only removes Trojans It has many other features like managing start-up programmes.

But when your PC is connected to Internet, Better Install All in One Security or Internet Security. They have hall the features like Anti Root kit  Anti Spyware, Antivirus, Firewall...etc So the Internet Security Software's handles all types of infections. Trial Versions has Limited features so better don't install them, If you want to try or to check the performance Install the Trial version, After if you can afford buy the the Full version to enjoy all the features.

Some ad-ware websites automatically installs the tool bars  some kind of ad-ware software's...etc so beware. If you have Norton Internet Security it automatically scans all the installations and detects the threat. It gives you warning and How many people are using this. So you can come to know that whether the installations are mandatory or not?

Virus removal question?

I have this virus on my computer that occasionally redirects me to other sites, usually domainsa.com, but this virus only affects my Google Chrome browser. I've tried several different virus removal techniques and software (always trustworthy ones) but so far nothing has helped. Currently I just did a scan using PC Tools Spyware Doctor and it found several threats on my computer, but now I found out that while you can have your computer scanned for free, you have to have an actual account and pay to have them removed. No other program that I have used so far has actually found any threats, so I was wondering if there was some other way to delete the threats the program found than by paying for it.

Also, if anyone could possibly recommend any other ways to get rid of this annoying virus, that would be great. :)

First thing is uninstall the PC Tools Spyware doctor and restart your computer. After restarting go through the control panel - Add/Remove programmes, find the unnecessary programmes that installed on your system. Check them and uninstall them as soon as possible and also uninstall the Google chrome. If you have installed antivirus please uninstall that too. Restart your computer.

If you know that infected with virus or ad wares  malwares, I would like to suggest the free edition of avast antivirus or If you can afford buy Norton Internet Security Software's  It is an Excellent security software. But don't forget to remove the unnecessary programmes from the system. After Installing Antivirus perform a whole system scan of your computer.

Some ad wares programmes automatically installed from the adwrare sites, beware while opening of these sites. If you have installed Internet Security it alerts you that you about to visit a malwares site or ad ware site. So you can know what's happening?

My suggestion is don't install pc doctor or pc tools anti spyware or spyware removers. Install a good Internet Security software's for better performance of PC.
